Syntax Space Studio

Studio

Who we are

A design and engineering studio in the Philippines. We take a partner from a lead to a proposal to three working design directions, reviewed behind a gate, to a build and a portal they keep.1

The studio runs on one platform of its own — the backoffice that carries every partner from lead to proposal to design-mock review to client, invoicing and collection.4 The method is on its own page: how we work.

Why our documents look the way they do

Every document the studio produces — a proposal, a design mock, a page on this site — is held to three written rules. They are quoted here because they are the point.

Cite everything, invent nothing

Never invent business details. Company facts, figures, missions, program names, market claims — every one must trace to a real source: the client's published materials, material the client supplied, or our own recorded research. If no source exists, write the claim qualitatively or omit it; never fabricate a number or a placeholder.

The point is transparency: the client should be able to see we are not making anything up.

Sourced data is welcome, sample data is labelled

A mock has to look full to be judged, and a client whose own operating data does not exist yet cannot supply it. Two kinds of content are therefore allowed in a mock — and they must never be mistaken for each other.

Real and sample may share a page, but a reader must never have to guess which one they are looking at.

The interface has a standard, and it is written down

CSS is the default tool; JavaScript carries the burden of proof.

The default answer to "should this animate" is no.

Accessibility is three preferences, not one.

This site is built under the same rules. Every product fact on it is read from a dated source file; where no source exists the page says less.
